shakkar paare

Ingredients


  • 1 cup maida (plain flour)
  • 1 dst. spoon ghee
  • yoghurt (dahi), to bind
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • oil to fry

Directions

  1. Make sugar syrup, of sugar and water
  2. Separately, mix maida and ghee with fingers
  3. Add yoghurt (dahi), as much needed to make a soft dough
  4. Make small round balls,of 1 inch diameter
  5. Fry in heated oil, on slow fire, remove
  6. Mix in hot sugar syrup, keep stirring until cold, so it should not stick to one another.
  7. Enjoy. They are also known as Vow
